A concert at Corsica Hall around 2000
This is a view of the dining hall from the other direction than the one I posted yesterday. If you look closely, you’ll see Lauren, Alex, Mike, Vicki, Stephen and others – and another Mike. I received the most wonderful letter from him a couple of days ago. I’m sure he won’t mind me sharing it with you. I read the first paragraph and felt sad, then read on and felt …. well ……
“Dear Liz
I am writing to let you know that I will not be renewing my membership of Flutewise. I have moved away from the flute and no longer have lessons and thought that Flutewise just wasn’t for me anymore.
However I am also writing to thank you immensely for the years that I have been a member. The talented and passionate people I met have become some of my closest friends whilst the Residential courses were undoubtedly a highlight of each year. The memories that I have of those courses remain highlights of my life so far! Your dedication, limitless energy and general enthusiasm never ceased to amaze me and are what makes Flutewise such an incredible group to be part of, so thank you soooooooooo much for everything and good luck with future Flutewise events! I will miss you all at Flutewise a lot; so all my love and psycho rats to everyone, and thanks once again Liz!”
We’ll miss you Mike.
