Happy Christmas Everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas and you’ve received loads of lovely presents. We are having a very nice time. Our festivities started on Sunday and just seem to keep going on and on – this is particularly amazing as we cancelled Christmas this year! (It obviously does not work).

Today, Boxing Day, is my husband’s birthday, so we’ve got a celebratory meal for that tonight.
I tried to save some wonderful jokes from our Christmas crackers to share with you, but I lost them. Have you come across any good ones?
Have you been giving your flute enough attention?!
Happy flute playing Christmas.

I would like to add my Merry Christmas’ too!!! I finally made it home to Scotland after 39 hours of back to back flights from South America. Iarrived just in time for the big family christmas (I got in at 7am on christmas day – cutting it a bit fine i think!). i had a great but a bit tiring day. the highlight though was finaly beeing able to read the latest edition of flutewise magazine which arrived a while ago. I especially enjoyed the article on warming up. Whoever wrote that masterpeice must be very special i think!

Hope you all had a great day!

    Love,
    Stephen.

    Hey everybody!

Christmas has been suprisingly good this year! (Usually something always goes wrong) My cousin had a little baby girl a week before Christmas and she is the cutest thing ever!

The good thing about the holidays is I can do as much flute practise as I want, because in school time I never have enough time to practise what with homework and afterschool things.

At the moment I’m practising Cimarosa’s Double Flute Concerto, as my friend and I are playing it in a concerto competition at the Royal Welsh College of Music. We haven’t had very long to learn it, I only got it the week before Christmas so today I’ve been trying to memorise as much as possible!

Jack, is the 5th of January a Saturday? Because if it is I might come along to your concert because I’ll be in Cardiff for college all day! Did you audition for the National Youth Wind Orchestra too?

    Much love to everyone,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    Hi Cathy,
Yes my concert is on Saturday the 5th! Let me know if you’re going to be there and I’ll come for a chat! It’s been ages since we last saw each other and I’m 5” 11′ now so you might not recognise me!! What time is your gig in the Welsh college? Can anyone come?
I didn’t audition for the wind band, just the orchestra. Did you?

    Jack again,
Cathy, my parents say that you guys are more than welcome to stay with us while you’re in Cardiff, as long as no-one’s allergic to cats!!
Better not put my email here but Liz can pass it on if you need it! (Thank you Liz!!)

    Hey Jack!

What time is your concert? I go to Cardiff every Saturday to the Royal Welsh College, and I finish at about 5.

Thanks for the offer, but my parents have got used to driving me places so home from Cardiff isn’t too far! Thank you anyway though :)

    Byeee!

    Helloo Cathy!
We’re on at 7.30 if you fancy it. I’ve got rehearsals all afternoon but I’m free in the morning. Can anyone come along on saturday to watch or is it just an ordinary day at college for you?
If we don’t manage it this weekend, it would good to grab a Starbucks sometime.. if you get a break on a Saturday.
    See you soon,
    Jackx

I can’t come, because it will mean my parents coming up to cardiff all day, and also it means another very late night!

I don’t have any breaks during the day when I’m at the college, because I’m there from 9:30 til about 5, with only a 20 minute break in the middle, but next time I’m in Cardiff for some other reason, we’ll meet up!

Are you looking forward to National Youth Orchestra? Do you know anyone else in it?
