Hi everyone! It’s been such a long time since I blogged on here and I just couldn’t resist putting a wee entry for you all to read. I am down at Flutewise HQ because for the last few months I have been touring with Glyndebourne Opera and this week we are in East Sussex which is where Liz and co. live.

Glyndebourne is a world famous opera company who, at the moment, are performing three different operas around the country. The tour has been great fun and has involved workshops and performances of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. It’s a very special production of it and involves only one flute player (Me!!!).

It has been loads and loads of fun and I am sad that this is the last week for a good few months.

This morning, Lady Goodwin herself came to see a workshop and performance (I thought it was lovely of her to come) and then she treated me to a spot of lunch after (I had a coronation chicken sandwhich, Liz had egg mayo). Have any of you lot seen it? I am particuarly excited about today’s concert – the BBC news crew were there and it is documented on “South East Today” (BBC 1 SE – 6.30pm. Get the Sky+ set or go to the BBC iPlayer now!)

This eve, Liz and I are off to Cranleigh to have a reahearsal for a concert this Saturday. I will fill you in on this another time but it should definately be lots and lots of fun.

What have you all been up to? Anything exciting? Anyone hoping for a new flute for Christmas pressie? Or any other gossip at all?

Love,
Stephen.

Update: The news item can be watched on the BBC website, probably only viewable in the UK.

I have mock exams. Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 down, 7 to go. On the up side no more lessons until 2009.

But (I have to confess) my flute is somewhat neglected because of it. I’m hoping to have a good blow at the weekend when I’ve dealt with Music tomorrow and Physics on Friday.

I thought I’d just have a look at the blog on my way to revision websites though…

    Rachel :)

    Hey Stephen,
I’m still fluting. I saw Kia last week at Guildhall – she said she saw you in Manchester or something!
