Massed Flute playing c-2009-stephen-heliczer

At 18.00 everyone gathered around the stage and we had the World Premiere of Zig Zag Zoo by Ian Clarke. This was followed by the presentaion of coloured flutes to our past Flutewise Artist of the Year, Ian Anderson, our current Flutewise Artist of the Year, Ian Clarke and our next Flutewise Artist of the Year, Matej Zupan.
This was followed by our mass flute choir playing to try and beat a World Record. We played Bouree by JS Bach, Gypsy Airs, Pachelbel’s Canon and Big Day 2 by Mike Mower.
After this, it was time for the evening concert with Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson and friends which started at 19.30. This was an amazing concert. Ian Anderson played some Jethro Tull favourirtes with his band as well as being joined by guests. His guests were Abbie Burrows, Ian Clarke and Alex Teymour Housego.
