I’ve decided we need a competition. How would you like to win a CD of some lovely flute playing? Of course you would. Every month we’ll have a prize draw. To enter all you need to do is leave me a message in the comments box – just to say you’ve read this and would like to enter. You’ll need to leave at least your first name and some other way I can identify you eg ‘Fred from Basingstoke’ would do. The only other thing is this is only open to members.
At the end of the month I’ll put all the names in a hat and the first one out will win. You can enter more than once and, if you do, your name will go into the hat more than once.
I’m away now for a few days. I hope I come back to some entries!

What a great idea!
Hi Liz,
Sorry i haven’t left a post for ages; I’ve been quite busy with mocks and things.
I have been asked to play a concerto in about 11 months time at a huge chorale concert in a cathedral and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations as to what I should play as its got to be pretty impressive as i’m the main soloist so I need something grade8/diploma standard although I’m willing to learn something harder if need be. I’ve already been thinking of Mozart, Rutter and vene Danzi but I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions? My teacher reckons that French pieces suit my tone the best and I really enjoy playing them.
Thanks, love Lucy xxx
