We are just about ready to send this magazine off to the printers (I hope!) but we need a bit of help.
Lots of people have commented how much they like the pull-out music section. Did you notice the paper was coloured? Did you find this useful? It was pale yellow. What colour do you think we should use for this magazine? We’d really appreciate yor help – quickly! Thanks.

I think it would be good to vary the colours used as it will be easier find music (once we have lots of them) – perhaps a colour to match the front cover. Or another idea – a specific colour for each quarter ie yellow autumn, blue winter, pink spring, green summer.
To be very honest, I don’t think it matters. It depends if you want it different/ the same. Some people find it easier to read music on a specific colour (eg those with dyslexia) but I haven’t seen any research on the subject, so don’t know which colours are most successful!
You could always surprise us!!

My main point would be something pale so there is a decent contrast (assuming you are printing the music in black). Having put that my English teacher always does her worksheets on a fantastic range of bold colours (usually pinks purples or greens) and that’s fine.
