Another Course – Beating Pasha

I’m just back from another weekend at Ovingdean. It was, as usual, a very special one. On Saturday Pasha Pavel came and showed us all how to start beatboxing on the flute. We had varying degrees of success, but lots and lots of fun. We finished the afternoon session with ‘Walk Like This’ by Ian Clarke and then Pasha played us ‘The Great Train Race’ which was also composed by Ian. Awesome!

Then the flute choir arrived for on of the rehearsals before we go to Slovenia in May. Sandy and I were stunned with the quality of work we got out of everyone. We’ve now decided on our programme so it’s now down to loads of individual practice before the next rehearsal. I think everyone knows we are going to have an absolutely great time at the Slovenian convention.

A big thank you to all our great Flutewise players and to Sandy and James Cairns for everything they do – and a special mention to Marta who is from Croatia, but is currently studying with Trevor Wye, it was great to have her with us this weekend.

And I mustn’t forget to say thank you to Robbie for my lovely, freshly laid eggs.
