So we’ve just got back from THE most amazing trip to Slovenia. It was so very, very good that I don’t know where to start to tell you all about it. I’m sure everyone who came will chip in with a bit of information over the next few days.

Slovenia – Wow!

I’m very, very tired – but very, very happy. I just thought you’d like to know we are back.
Thank you everyone who came.
More tomorrow, I’m off to bed.
All is wonderful in my garden

Yes, I’m very happy. The fair is back. The magazine is well on target. We are off to Slovenia!
I love the fair. It comes to our park every May. (I live opposite the park, so it’s my front garden – I can dream, can’t I?). On Saturday night we had a huge firework display. Fabulous. I also love the noise and the smell and the excitement of it all. I’m so pleased it was this week, I was worried I’d miss it if it clashed with our Slovenia visit.
The summer magazine seems to be going well. We need lots of lovely photos of Slovenia to go in it, so it will get finished next week when we get back (I hope!)
Everything seems to be ready for Slovenia. Six of us fly out on Wednesday, two more join us on Thursday and everyone else arrives on Friday. Most of us travel back together on Monday. I think we are all very, very excited.
See you when we get back.
A quiet life
It does seem very quiet at the moment and I think that’s to do with email problems. I’ve sent loads of emails recently and I’ve had few replies. If you send me an email, I ALWAYS reply. If you leave a comment on the blog, it is ALWAYS published. So if you’ve sent something and nothing has happened, please send it again. We don’t really like a quiet life.
A question for you about questions
Here’s something I would love every single person who reads this to give me an answer – go on, if you haven’t yet, write something in the comments box.
This is what I’d like to know – if you could ask a famous flute player between 1 and 5 questions, what would they be? I’m not thinking of a specific famous flute player, but you might like to address just one. I’m really interested …………
Ovingdean & happy birthday Harry
I’m just back from a very exhausting course at Ovingdean to prepare for our trip to Slovenia.
The weather is fabulous here at the moment, but the heating was on! To make matters even worse the windows in the theatre don’t open and we couldn’t find a way of turning the air conditioning on – we think there is some as there are vents in the ceiling.
So the heat made work very hard going. We managed to get through everything, but there is still quite a bit of hard work to do. Sandy worked everyone hard and things were improving by this afternoon. Thanks Sandy you are a star.
James woke me at 1.10 this morning when he arrived after a concert. He announced his arrival by singing something about a purple cow over the walkie talkie! It was very nice to see his lovely new gold flute. Lucky James.
It was Harry’s birthday this week. His mum made a fabulous chocolate cake for us to share. Harry also had a new instrument to show off, a new Pearl piccolo. Lucky Harry.
Robbie brought me some of his wonderful eggs again. So I’m off to eat one or two. Lucky Liz.
