I had a lovely email yesterday from a parent of 2 of our members. She has visited and didn’t know whether to leave a message. Whether you are a Flutewise member, a parent, teacher or friend you are more than welcome to leave a comment or message – just click on the comment box below.

Busy, busy
I’ve had quite a boring couple of days (and nights). I’ve been doing lots of boring admin things for Flutewise – sending out renewal cards and packing membership forms and course forms to flute teachers and music shops. It all takes an amazing amount of time and costs a huge amount of money, especially as postage seems to go up so often. I only hope all the effort gets some results.
We always need more members – do you have any good ideas how to attract some?
Poem from Rachel
I received this lovely poem today from one of our new members in Prescott, AZ, USA. Rachel is 14 years old and loves penguins and was inspired by the wonderful drawing on the front cover of the current Flutewise magazine which was drawn by our amazing artist, Wendy Standen.
Do you fancy writing a poem? Or a piece of music? Or a story?
Finding Julie’s Love
Written by:
Rachel Logan
I’m all alone,
just me, my flute, and the ice.
It’s a talent to play and skate
at the same time!
Hopefully when I play high notes,
the ice won’t break.
I’m playing for,
My Love to come find me.
When he finds me,
we’ll play the song of the century!
Until he finds me,
I will keep playing our song.
The only way I will know,
if he’s true is,
If our songs blend.
Oh… listen,
can you hear it?
That song,
it’s beautiful.
I think I finally found him!
Come here My Love,
Come play with me.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year everyone who is reading this. If you do visit this blog, can you leave me a message? I’d love to know if anyone is visiting.
I hope to write something about Flutewise related things most days. Let me know about anything you want me to write about.
I can’t write much today as I’ve a horrible little paper cut on one of my fingers and I can’t type very well – and it hurts to play my flute.
