End of Year and AirZooka

To make sure I enter the New Year happily, I’ve been busy tidying my office today, catching up with paperwork and emails. It’s a bit like doing course work or homework really. I even managed a bit of flute practice. Have you?

I forgot to tell you about one of my most amazing Christmas presents – I plan to have fun with it on our Flutewise residential courses. It’s an AirZooka. You can send a blast of air from quite a distance away and surprise the recipient. My wonderful friend, Erich Tucker, sent it to me. Erich lives in Dallas and he is great fun. He invited me out to take part in the Denton Flute Festival in Dallas during May 2006 and I had a great time.

I’m hoping Erich can come over to the UK in 2007 to take part in one of our courses. I know everyone will adore working with him. He reminds me of Sean the barman on Coronation Street, except even a little more hyperactive – in the nicest possible way.

So watch out on the next course, if you don’t go to bed when I tell you, you might get hit by my AirZooka plus a bit of lavender oil!

I’ve been meaning to do this for ages and now we’ve had a bit of spare time over the holiday, I’ve managed it!
I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and have spent some time practising your flute. I’d be really interested to hear about any flute-type presents you might have received. I had a great one from Vicky – a magnetic pencil, very useful to attach to a music stand.
During the next few days I will be planning events for 2007. The residential courses are already booked, so it is the one-day and half day ones I’m looking at. After that I’ll be starting work on the next magazine. Any ideas about events or the magazine are always very gratefully received.
Hope to hear from you soon.
