Flutewise is a great organisation that provides something very special for young flute players. We have a brilliant quarterly magazine and we hold a wide range of events. Membership is open to anyone and everyone who plays or is interested in playing the flute although many of our events are restricted to members aged 8 to 18. Flutewise aims to inspire, involve and motivate all our members to become better, more informed and happier flute players. The emphasis is on enjoyment, participation and friendship. We provide flute players with magazines, events, courses and opportunities that will educate, entertain and motivate them to attain and realise their maximum potential. Flutewise is affordable and accessible, complementing each individual’s ongoing flute study.

Flutewise was started in 1988 and produces a quarterly magazine for its members, which includes items on technique, history, musicianship, flute care, etc. As well as contributions from professional players and teachers and many young players have letters, poems and stories published.

Flutewise organises a wide range of events and supports young people in many ways to fulfil their flute playing potential.

The content of our magazine and our events and courses are carefully designed specifically for young flute players.
